Among Ukrainians there are those who still have a positive attitude towards Russia. There are about 500 thousand of them.

The percentage of Russian lovers is only 2%. But if we analyze the results of the survey, then this is half a million Ukrainians.

The survey was conducted on May 13-18. It was organized by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology.

Over the past 3 years before the start of a full-scale attack by Russia, there was a gradual decline in positive attitudes towards the aggressor country. And even despite the escalation near the borders of Ukraine, 34% of the population of Ukraine at the beginning of February 2022 had a good attitude towards Russia.

Now only 2% of citizens have a good attitude towards the aggressor country, while 92% have a bad attitude. However, it is important to understand that 2% is about 500,000 people.

Briefly about the KIIS survey method

The Kyiv International Institute of Sociology polled Ukrainians by computer-assistedtelephoneinterviews (CATI) based on a random selection of mobile numbers.

KIIS experts interviewed 2,000 respondents living in all regions of Ukraine. The survey was conducted with adult (aged 18 years and older) citizens of Ukraine who lived on the territory of Ukraine until February 24, 2022.

The survey did not include residents of those territories that are temporarily not controlled by the authorities of Ukraine (AR of Crimea, Sevastopol, separate areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions). Also, people who went abroad after February 24, 2022 were not involved in the survey.
