Visa regime with Russia: what is known
- As part of countering the threat to national security, sovereignty and territorial integrity of our state, Volodymyr Zelensky suggested that the Cabinet of Ministers develop the issue of revising the regime for the entry of Russian citizens into Ukraine.
- So, as early as July 1, 2022, Ukraine introduced a visa regime for entry for Russian citizens
- Recall that the corresponding petition appeared on the website of the Office of the President back in May. The petition collected more than 26,000 votes out of the required 25,000.
- It is interesting that Ukrainian politicians have been talking about a visa regime with Russia since the beginning of Russia's invasion and annexation of Crimea. However, in 2016, the Verkhovna Rada did not put this bill to a vote. Over the years, they tried to do it again, but the people's deputies did not achieve consent.
