Vladimir Kvurt, former mayor of Vinnykiv Oblast and deputy of the regional council, died after a serious illness. The famous politician was only 55 years old.
On Wednesday, December 28, Lviv Mayor Andrey Sadovy wrote on his social networks that one of the most famous Lviv politicians had passed away. It is known that Kvoort fought cancer for a long time.
“All Lviv residents knew him”
Vladimir Kvoort's death is a great loss for Lviv. As the mayor rightly noted, almost all residents of the city and the region knew about the former mayor Vinnikov and the deputy of the regional council.
After a serious illness, Vladimir Kvurt passed away to eternity. Volodymyr was known, probably, by all Lviv residents. He faithfully served his community. At one time, Vinnik worked as mayor and secretary of the city council of Lviv, Sadovy stated.
It is known that Kvoort had a wife and three sons. Interestingly, he was born in the Kyiv region in 1967. In the 1990s, he worked in the tobacco industry and even ran the Lviv Tobacco Factory. In 2006 – 2010 he was the secretary of the Lviv city council, and in 2015 he won the election of the mayor of Vinnikov.

In 2020, Kvurt was elected by the people as a deputy of the Lviv Regional Council from the European Solidarity party. He was the chairman of the parliamentary commission on budget and socio-economic development.
