On June 15, NATO defense ministers completed a two-day meeting to prepare for the North Atlantic Alliance summit, which will be held in Washington on July 9-11.
They discussed strengthening NATO's deterrence and defense, as well as future prospects for providing military support to Ukraine.
Ministers agreed on a plan under which NATO will lead coordination on security issues and training of Ukrainian military personnel.

Washington NATO summit — Should Ukraine expect an invitation
The July NATO summit in Washington does not include an invitation to Ukraine to become a member.
European Pravda journalists reported this at the end of May, citing US Ambassador to NATO Julian Smith.
According to her, such a request in the current conditions is unrealistic, and representatives of the Alliance are focused on creating support packages for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
