As a result of a traffic accident in the Vinnytsia region, which occurred on October 16 at about 17:20 near Pisarevka in the Vinnytsia district, six people died, two of them — minors.
What is known about the accident near Vinnytsia
According to the police, on the Stryi highway — Ternopil — Kropyvnytskyi — Izvarino 36-year-old driver of a DAF truck (resident of the Gaysyn district) lost control and drove into the oncoming traffic lane.
As a result, there was a collision with a Renault Trafic minibus, which was moving in the opposite direction.

The 48-year-old driver of the minibus and five of his passengers – residents of the Vinnytsia district aged 16, 17, 19, 23 – and a 21-year-old resident of the Zhmerynka district – died on the spot.
The DAF driver was hospitalized with injuries.

He was detained. His blood was taken for a toxicological examination.
A case has been opened under Part 3 of Art. 286 of the Criminal Code (violation of traffic safety rules or transport operation by persons driving vehicles).
The culprit of the accident faces 5 to 10 years with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to 3 years.
After conducting a series of examinations, the final causes of the accident in Vinnytsia Oblast will be established.
