A strike on the Askold ship will force the Russian Federation to move the fleet even further – British intelligence

Ukraine's ability to strike shipbuilding infrastructure in temporarily occupied Crimea will likely force Russia to redeploy its Black Sea Fleet even further from the front line, delaying deliveries of new ships.

The intelligence of the British Ministry of Defense came to such conclusions after Ukraine damaged the Russian Askold rocket launcher in Kerch.

— The Karakurt class ship, launched in 2021, has not yet been introduced into the Russian Navy. The incident occurred further east of Crimea than most of Ukraine's previous long-range strikes, British intelligence officials said.
