German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius indirectly confirmed the information about doubling military assistance to Ukraine.

Pistorius said on the ARD channel that the planned increase in military aid is “a strong signal to Ukraine that we will not abandon it.”

“We don’t want to be in a situation next year where we have to make additional demands when it’s important.” That is why the increase in aid is an important signal – especially now, when Ukraine must continue its fight, and at the same time, part of the public attention around the world is more focused on Israel, the head of the Ministry of Defense said.
According to the insider, the decision on additional assistance for Ukraine will be made at the next meeting of the Bundestag Budget Committee, which will begin on Thursday, November 16.
Earlier, Bild reported that from 2024 Germany will double its military assistance to Ukraine. Instead of €4 billion there will now be €8 billion.
