A vessel carrying 82 passengers and crew caught fire off the coast of the Philippines. At least 73 people were rescued.
At the time of the incident, the cargo and passenger ship was moving towards the port. It is located south of Manila.
The fire on the ship was extinguished. The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.

The Coast Guard said search and rescue efforts are ongoing. A total of 48 passengers and 34 crew members were on board. As of 19:30 local time, 73 people were rescued.
In particular, among them there are people who, trying to escape, jumped into the water. Local media reported that one victim needed hospitalization. Details about the condition of the 44-year-old woman have not yet been disclosed.
