An avalanche has risen in the Russian city of Sochi. It was so powerful that it demolished an iron bridge.
Ross media wrote that the incident occurred on February 20th. According to Russian rescuers, the avalanche came down near the mountain village of Esto-Sadok near Sochi. Channel 24.
What is known about the avalanche in Sochi
The avalanche descended between the Alpika slope and Krasnaya Polyana, which today (February 20 – Channel 24) was closed for skiing due to increased avalanche danger, and Rozovy Khutor, the message says.

Russian rescuers said that the avalanche descended along the mudflow in the area of the bobsleigh track. A layer of snow touched the fencing mesh and communications. The avalanche did not affect Russian citizens.
Russian meteorologists said that until the end of February 20, there will be sleet in the mountains, and at an altitude of more than 500 meters – a snow-head danger. Many ski slopes in Sochi were closed due to the danger of avalanches.
There were several earthquakes in Russia
On February 17, an earthquake near the Kuril Islands shook Russia . The magnitude reached 5.3 on the Richter scale. Nothing was reported about the consequences.
Before that, on February 16, an earthquake occurred in the waters of Lake Baikal. Its magnitude was 5.9. There were no casualties or destruction there.
Russia was also cowardly on the border with Kazakhstan. Then the magnitude reached 4.4. The tremors were about 200 kilometers from the city of Ust-Kamenogorsk. Experts classify this earthquake as a weak one, so again there was no information about damage or victims.
