In the Krivoy Rog region, a pensioner blew himself up while sorting through cluster munitions. He is currently in hospital in serious condition.
It is known that an 82-year-old man collected 7 cluster rounds of ammunition. He brought them home and tried to take them apart on his own, but they detonated and an explosion occurred.
The head of the Dnepropetrovsk Police Department, Valentin Reznichenko, stressed that cluster munitions can explode for a long time after they fall.
I asked and ask again. Please do not touch the explosives left after enemy shelling. If you see a suspicious object, call the rescuers or the police. Cluster munitions are treacherous. He brought the cluster round ammunition home – it detonated and the child died.
On April 29, a 59-year-old man was killed in the Krivoy Rog district of the Dnipropetrovsk region, who was trying to transport a Tornado-S projectile on a moped. The projectile also detonated – the man did not survive.
In general, according to the OVA, in the Dnipropetrovsk region, 6 people have already died because of such shells. Local authorities are urging people not to touch suspicious items, especially if they look like ammunition. It is necessary to call the rescuers or the police.
What to do if you see ammunition or explosives:
- call the rescue service number (101) or the police station (102);< /li>
- warn passers-by about a possible danger;
- fence off a dangerous place with something and move away from the find at a safe distance (100 meters);
- you can use any helpers to fence materials: branches, ropes, pieces of cloth, stones, etc.
It is strictly forbidden:
- touch the ammunition, move dangerous object and other objects near it;
- fill it with liquids, fill it with soil or cover it with something;
- turn on electrical, radio equipment, intercoms or law near the found object;
- have a sound, light, thermal or mechanical effect on the object.
