Russia has stepped up its nuclear threats. We are talking not only about the president of the aggressor country, Vladimir Putin, but also about ordinary citizens.

The head of the Sitting Russia Foundation, Olga Romanova, told Channel 24 that she is afraid to meet with her fellow countrymen who support the war and the nuclear explosion. Therefore, she will not return to her homeland even after Putin’s death.

“They planted an atomic bomb in the brains of millions of Russians. It seems to me that this is not just another aggravation, but some kind of concept,” Romanova believes.

Why Putin does not dare to commit a nuclear explosion

According to Romanova, a certain lull in Putin’s statements about the use of nuclear weapons is primarily due to the influence of Xi Jinping on him.

Comrade Xi told us about this – we have no other evidence on this matter. After that, Putin calmed down, but left it to everyone else,” noted the head of the Sitting Rus' Foundation.

However, this is a rather precarious position. If China's leader changes his tune or Putin shakes off his influence, nuclear rhetoric could escalate again.
