A new level of cynicism: the Kremlin named the main component of its “peace plan” for Ukraine

by alex

For some reason, the Kremlin is convinced that they are still being listened to, and therefore they tried to dictate their terms for peace negotiations . Thus, Putin's henchman, his press secretary Dmitry Peskov, announced the main condition for negotiations with Ukraine.

They say that no “peace plan” for Ukraine can exist without taking into account “today's realities”, that is the so-called “inclusion” of the Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions into Russia.

“There is not a single peace plan for Ukraine yet, let's start with this,” Peskov is quoted by the Russian media.

Thus, he commented on the initiative of President Vladimir Zelensky to develop a peace plan by February and hold a summit on it at the UN site.

Russia is not going to seriously consider the possibility of negotiations

Putin's henchman insisted that Russia is not going to give up the temporarily occupied territories. And that not a single “peace plan” for Ukraine that does not take into account the “incorporation of four new regions into Russia” can exist.

Moreover, they say, such a plan a priori cannot be peaceful. The cynicism of such statements is simply over the top. After all, it is Russia that is an infidel, and it was they who illegally tried to annex the Ukrainian regions to their composition.

“No plan that does not take into account these realities can claim to be peaceful,” so bluntly and Peskov noted.

To the topic. Recently, Dmitry Peskov veiledly noted that the bloody war would continue. And that there is no one on whose terms Russia is not going to talk about peace.

The main ones about the “peace talks” between Ukraine and Russia

  • The Office of the President is convinced that Vladimir Putin started talking about negotiations because he wants to avoid responsibility. But only a tribunal awaits him. In fact, Putin does not want peace, but only cares about his own interest.
  • The Institute for the Study of War also believes that Putin's words about negotiations really mean that he wants concessions from Kyiv.
