Donetsk Shakhtar will hold a charity match in the capital of Japan – Tokyo. The miners' opponent will be the team of Avispa Fukuoka. The official website of the Japanese club reports this.

The game will take place on the night of December 19 in Tokyo at the Japan National Stadium, which was the main arena for the 2020 Summer Olympics. The meeting starts at 1.00 Kiev time.

Avispa Fukuoka noted that the match will take place in order to support Ukraine against the backdrop of the war in Ukraine. All proceeds from the match, excluding expenses, will go to help rebuild Ukraine.

On the day of the match, a charity party will also be held, to which immigrants from Ukraine who now live in Japan will be invited.

The match in Japan will take place after Shakhtar completes the first official part of the current season. Before this match, the miners will play in the sixth round of the group stage of the Champions League away against Porto on December 13.
