Because of the Russian invasion, not only humans, but animals as well, experienced a lot of hardship. In the Kyiv region, a fluffy cat miraculously survived under the rubble of a house.

5-year-old cat survived under the rubble

In the village of Gorenko, not far from Bucha, a half-breed Maine Coon Biggie was rescued from the rubble. The four-legged friend, as the volunteers said, lived for a long time in the basement of a destroyed house in the village of Gorenko.

Photographs of the littered house testify eloquently about the plight of the cat. It still remains a mystery how the cat was able to consume virtually without access to food and water.

A cat was pulled out of a destroyed house in Borodianka

  • The Russian military left behind devastation in the territories of the Kyiv region, which were temporarily occupied. All living things suffered at the hands of the aggressor.
  • In early May, in Borodyanka, Kyiv region, a cat was noticed on the 7th floor of the house, which was destroyed by the Russian military.
  • After the volunteers asked for help, Ukrainian rescuers immediately came to the aid of the four-legged beauty. Interestingly, the local firefighters did not have a ladder of the required length, so they brought it from Irpen.
  • Kisi managed to survive in Borodianka under mysterious circumstances. Subsequently, the cat was named Wardrobe and found new owners.

Ukrainians save animals during the war

In May, rescuers in the Kharkiv region found a dog during a fire in one of the shelled houses. The dog had no owners, so he was taken to the fire department and now the animal lives with rescuers.

Another poignant story is connected with the military Alexander with the call sign “Fizruk”. During a trip to the East, he found a kitten, which has now become his most faithful furry friend.

Animals, like people, are also not happy with the Russian invaders. Thus, an 8-year-old Maine Coon cat named Max, abducted by Russian invaders in Bucha, returned to his owners after several months of wandering.
