Over the Sea of ​​Azov on the evening of February 23, another Russian A-50U DRLS aircraft was shot down. This happened as a result of a successful operation by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense and the Air Force.

In the end, the invaders themselves confirmed that their A-50U aircraft, which allegedly “cannot be hit” sank to the bottom of the Azov Sea. This was reported by one of the other Russian pilots who watched the crash of the aircraft.

The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine noted that the A-50U long-range radar detection aircraft of the Russian military space forces was shot down on February 23, 2024 near the city of Primorsko-Akhtarsk on the Sea of ​​Azov. “The last take-off of the A50U was made on February 23, 2024 at 15:50 from the Akhtubinsk airfield and was supposed to carry out terrorist tasks of the aggressor state of Russia near the settlements of Primorsko-Akhtarsk – Zernograd,” the department noted.

However, already at 18:45, the radio-technical intelligence stations of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Moscow Region recorded an abrupt cessation of operation in this area of ​​the invaders’ radar complex called “Shmel”, which is equipped with the A-50U. The fire damage to the modernized A-50U long-range radar tracking aircraft is also confirmed by the radio interception of a conversation between the Su-35 cover crew. In particular, one of the Russian pilots reported on the radio that he observed air defense work, flashes and explosions. 24 Channel).
