What is known about the incident
On January 17, in Dnieper, actor of the Chernigov Drama Theater Nikolai Lemeshko, who was on tour with the troupe in this city, was hit in the face. The director of the Academic Opera and Ballet Theater Konstantin Pinchuk was allegedly involved in the incident.
It is known that in the city the actors were supposed to play a play at the Dnieper Drama Theater.

Before starting, they were going to unload all the props and bring them into the room. The bus couldn’t drive up to the theater’s courtyard because the entrance was blocked, so we had to lay out costumes and other things right at the main entrance. However, subsequently the director of the Dnieper Drama Theater arrived and rudely demanded that the bus be driven away.
— Two people got out of the car — theater director and unknown man. They rudely demanded that the bus be driven away and the unloading process stopped. When their demands were not met, the director, again in a rude manner, asked Nikolai Lemeshko to call the driver. Nikolai said that we physically cannot drive the bus away because the passage is blocked by other cars, — says the message Chernigov Drama Theater.
The actor himself said the following:
— Some guy just drove up while unloading. Started to manage. First he asked: “Can you move the bus two meters ahead so that I can pass?” I said: “I have nothing to do with it, go to the driver”. To which he came at me: “Find him for me, quickly”. To which I answered him: “Now, I ran away”.
After his words, actor Nikolai Lemeshko received a blow to the face. The police were called to the scene. Law enforcement officers have already begun an investigation into the beating of the actor.

The actor said that the incident was seen by a theater troupe, as well as a witness. The police and the investigator filed a report on the theater director Pinchuk, but he was no longer at the scene of the incident at that moment. As Lemeshko clarified, the director of the Dnieper Opera parked his car and drove off in another car in an unknown direction.

What the police say
The police of the Dnepropetrovsk region reported that criminal proceedings have been opened on this fact under Article 125 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Intentional minor bodily injury).

The sanction of the article provides for a fine of up to 50 tax-free minimum incomes of citizens (850 hryvnia, — Ed.) or community service for up to 200 hours, or correctional labor for up to one year.
What the theater director said
In a commentary for UP.Kultura, director of the Dnieper Opera Konstantin Pinchuk denied all accusations:
— I'll call the director of the Chernigov Theater to sort it out. I think that I will have to look for a lawyer and sue the director, the Chernigov Theater for libel.
By the way, in December in the Lviv region freshmen of one of the schools were beaten.
