Soldiers of the 128th OGSBr died during the offensive. A day of mourning for the soldiers was announced in the Transcarpathian region.
On September 2, the memory of the heroes who died in the fight against the Russian aggressor will be honored in the territory of Transcarpathia. This was stated by the head of the OVA Viktor Nikita.
On the regional day of mourning, state flags will be flown at half mast. At 9:00 a.m., a moment of silence will honor the memory of the soldiers, and divine services will be held in the temples of various denominations of the region.
Our heroes are alive as long as the memory of them and their exploits lives on, – Nikita stressed.
Losses among Ukrainian soldiers
- On August 27, Ukrainian defender from Kyiv Oleg Finogenov died under artillery fire near Bakhmut. He was a member of the NAPC team, worked in the Department of Digital Transformation and Innovative Development.
- On August 19, military and well-known activist Yulia Chaika died. She belonged to the Zaporozhye cell of “DemSokira”. The woman left an 8-year-old son.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny revealed the number of defenders who lost Ukraine during a full-scale war with Russia – almost 9 thousand of our heroes died.
