Severe frosts will soon begin in Ukraine. The temperature in some places will drop to minus 10 degrees.
Forecaster of the Ukrhydrometeorological center Natalya Ptukha told about this during a press briefing. She named the areas that the cyclone will touch.
Frost will come to Ukraine
Ptukha noted that on February 5-6, the temperature begins to drop:
- 5 – 10 degrees of frost at night;
- 0 – 6 degrees of frost in the daytime.
According to precipitation. A cyclone is approaching us from the west. It will pass through the southwestern part of Ukraine. Naturally, it affects the western regions, the southern ones. In these areas, we expect wind intensification in the near future, the forecaster noted.
She added that the main manifestation of the cyclone will be precisely the strengthening of the wind. Gusts at a speed of 15 – 20 meters per second are expected in most western regions, especially in:
- Zakarpattia region,
- Lviv region,
- Ivano- Frankivsk region,
- Chernivtsi region.
“This cyclone also brings precipitation. Therefore, in these areas that I indicated, tomorrow (February 4 – 24< /strong> Channel) we expect significant snow. That is, keep this in mind,” Ptukha stressed.
The State Emergency Service urged to be careful
Ukrhydrometeorological center noted that on February 4 in the Transcarpathian, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi regions there will be heavy snow and a blizzard. The danger level is yellow.
The State Emergency Service also reported worsening weather conditions.
“Such weather conditions can lead to a deterioration in traffic on certain sections of roads and streets,” it says in the message.
Rescuers urged drivers and pedestrians to be careful on the road and, if possible, not plan long trips and follow safety rules.
