The ambassadors of the European Union countries agreed on the 14th package of sanctions against the Russian Federation, in response to Russian aggression against Ukraine.

President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen commented on the new sanctions against Russia.

Romania's Supreme Defense Council (CSAT) decided to transfer one Patriot air defense system to Ukraine.

— Given the significant deterioration of the security situation in Ukraine as a result of persistent and massive Russian attacks on civilians and infrastructure, especially energy infrastructure, as well as the regional consequences of this situation, in particular for the security of Romania, the Council members, in close coordination with members of the bloc, decided to transfer the Patriot system to Ukraine , — CSAT says.

The head of the Presidential Office, Adriy Ermak, in his Telegram channel has already thanked Romania for this decision in the usual manner, having previously written that there will be more Patriot.

Extension of transport visa-free regime

Ukraine and the European Commission have extended the transport visa-free regime for a year with the possibility of its automatic extension until the end of 2025.

Cargo transportation from Ukraine to the EU and from the European Union to Ukraine will no longer require special permits.

The updated agreement also provides for a number of mutual obligations regarding the availability of licenses for transportation and marking of trucks.

Visa-free imports contribute to imports, which grew by 44%. These are, in particular, goods and components necessary for Ukrainian manufacturers to establish the production process.

— These additional air defense capabilities will protect Ukrainian cities and people. I thank President Biden for the critical support we discussed during our recent meeting in Italy. The partnership between Ukraine and the United States is strong and unshakable. Together we protect life from terror and aggression, — he wrote on the social network X.

Germany donated equipment to Ukraine for repairing electrical networks

Germany handed over to Ukraine two more Mercedec-Benz Arocs vehicles with a crane for carrying out repairs on electrical networks.

This became a new batch as part of the overall energy package from Berlin in the amount of 2.3 million euros.

The new batch will go to Zaporozhye, Cherkassy, as well as the Nikolaev and Kharkov regions, where the infrastructure was hit harder than others by Russian shelling.

Some of the cars have already been delivered to Ukraine and are helping energy workers in the Kharkov, Nikolaev, and Ternopil regions.

President Zelensky held a Bet

President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky held a meeting of the Headquarters, and instructed the government to immediately present an incentive program to stimulate solar generation and energy storage in Ukraine.

The President instructed the government to facilitate the installation of solar panels in schools and hospitals and other institutions and to develop loans for solar panels for Ukrainians.

— So that this would be an analogue of the 5-7-9 program, but 0% per annum for citizens, — Zelensky said in an evening address.

Zelensky noted that now all structures must work harmoniously so that Ukraine enters the heating season prepared, at the level of each community.
