Krotoszyn police press officer Piotr Szczepaniak told local media about this. According to him, the tragic incident occurred at the beginning of this week.

What is known about the death of the Ukrainian woman

He noted that the woman was admitted to the gynecology department. At that moment she was 33 weeks pregnant. A man took her to the hospital, because the Ukrainian woman was not feeling well.

The doctors conducted an examination, after which they decided that a caesarean section must be performed to deliver the baby. Unfortunately, a few hours after the operation, the 28-year-old Ukrainian woman died.

It should be noted that the hospital did not notify either the police or the prosecutor's office about the case. True, doctors referred to the Law “On Health Care”. According to him, only the closest relatives were to be notified of the death.

If the death of a patient whose identity cannot be established occurs, or in a situation where the doctor certifying the death suspects that it occurred as a result of prohibited actions, then it is necessary to inform the police and the prosecutor’s office, emphasized prosecutor Krzysztof Bukowiecki.

He added that if the doctor who declared death did not come to the above conclusion, then authorized persons have already reported this.

Please note that the child was transferred to the hospital in Ostrov to the neonatology department. He had symptoms of hypoxia.

Speaker The District Prosecutor's Office in Wielkopolska Island, Maciej Meler, told Ukrinform that the tragedy occurred on December 13. He noted that a 28-year-old Ukrainian woman, born in 1995, was admitted to the hospital on December 11.

It is about the death of a young woman who was pregnant. This kind of case is always resonant in society… The task of the prosecutor’s office is to find out what the reasons for this tragic event were, the prosecutor said.

For its part, the prosecutor’s office invited to provide documents from different departments of the hospital . And also to conduct interrogations of witnesses and ordered a forensic medical examination.

A group of experts has already been created. Her task is to study medical documentation to find out whether the doctors’ actions were correct. The forensic medical examination itself should be carried out on December 18.
