The Russians turned life in the temporarily occupied territories into a real hell. Critical infrastructure is not actually working. People cook on fires and learn to survive without water supply.
Invaders destroy houses and steal TVs
Local residents, even those who call themselves “citizens of Russia”, suffer from the actions of the Russian occupiers. People complain about looting. The occupiers are destroying houses, destroying cars and, tearing down walls, “park” their tanks in other people's garages.
In many areas, the enemy disrupted the sowing season. In the meantime, the grain that the people still had became a tasty prey for the invaders. In the temporarily occupied territories, Russians traditionally steal everything they can get their hands on. And to keep the locals silent, threats and intimidation are used.
The invaders rob schools, pharmacies and shops. TVs are taken out of apartments. More than 30 cars “mysteriously disappeared” in one area alone.
If there is no way to commit a large-scale theft, the Russians climb into other people's basements. People are “freed” from potatoes and carrots.
Donetsk in the Middle Ages
Denis Kazansky, a Ukrainian journalist and blogger, said that Donetsk has actually returned to the Middle Ages. In a city where world stars once visited, people now fetch water from puddles and a stinky river.
