Roman Oleksiv is an 8-year-old boy who miraculously survived a Russian missile attack on Vinnitsa in the summer of 2022. The day before, he personally met with Pope Francis.

8-year-old Roman Oleksiv spoke about this on his Facebook. Yaroslav Oleksiw, the boy's father, added that this trip “fulfills another dream of Roman.”

So, on December 5, Roman wrote on his social network that he had arrived in Rome. In the photo he is posing with dad Yaroslav. And on December 6, he posted a video with the Pope. He was accompanied by the caption: “It was an unforgettable and blessed meeting.” He met not only with Pope Francis, but also with the Italian Madam Minister Maria Teresa Bellucci. < /p>

A meeting that will be remembered for a lifetime, he wrote later.

Missile attack on Vinnitsa: what is known

  • July 14, 2022, Russian missiles attacked the center of Vinnitsa. As a result of the terrorist attack, 27 people were killed, including 3 children. Also, 202 people sought medical help.
