Russian invaders continue to shell the positions of Ukrainian defenders and peaceful settlements. At the same time, regime measures have been tightened in the border regions of Belarus.
The General Staff said that the invaders are still trying to hold on to the temporarily occupied territories. In addition, they are concentrating their efforts on deterring the actions of the Defense Forces in certain directions, at the same time, they are not abandoning attempts to conduct offensive operations in the Bakhmut and Avdeevsky directions. 8 attacks by Russians
During the day of October 21, units of the Defense Forces repulsed the attacks of the invaders near:
- Ternovoy, Kharkiv region;
- Belogorivka and Zolotarivka, Luhansk region;
- Liman, Soledar, Ozaryanovka, Odradovka, and Pervomaisky, Donetsk region.
Occupiers continue shelling positions of Ukrainian defenders along the line of confrontation and conduct aerial reconnaissance. In addition, the Russians hit critical infrastructure and civilian premises . By doing this, they violate the norms of international humanitarian law, the laws and customs of warfare.
In just 24 hours, the invaders delivered 4 missile and 10 air strikes , as well as more than 30 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems. About 8 settlements suffered from enemy air strikes and anti-aircraft guided missiles, including:
- Kharkiv,
- Zaporozhye,
- Novoskresenskoe, Kherson region.
What happened in different directions
In the Volyn direction, the situation remains unchanged. In turn, in Seversky and Polessky, the invaders fired from mortars and cannon artillery:
- Ukrainskoe and Roscha, Chernihiv region,
- Pokrovka, Sumy region.
In other directions, the Russian invaders carried out shelling:
- in the Slobozhansk direction – from barrel and rocket artillery in the areas of the settlements of Berestovo, Strelecha, Dvuhletnaya and Chugunovka;
- in the Bakhmut direction – from tanks and artillery in the areas of the settlements of Soledar, Bakhmut, Belogorovka, Klishchievka and Poprosnoye;
- in the Avdiivka direction – from tanks, mortars, cannon and rocket artillery in the areas of the settlements of Vodiane, Prechistovka, Pervomayskoye and Bolshaya Novoselka. They fired at the areas of the settlements of Vremovka, Zeleny Gay and Malaya Tokmachka.
The invaders also attacked military and civilian infrastructure in the Yuzhnobuzh direction. The areas of settlements located near the line of collision suffered fire damage, in particular:
- Novoskresenskoye,
- Mirnoye,
- Davidov Brid,
- Novograd-Volynsky.
Ukrainian pilots delivered 16 strikes
According to the information available at the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, all bodies of the occupation authorities in the city of Berislav, Kherson region, have ceased their activities since October 19.
It is also known that collaborators who collaborated with the Russian occupiers along with their families and property continue to leave the city. On the temporarily occupied territory of the Lugansk region, the enemy is taking measures to improve television and radio broadcasting, the message says.
Ukrainian defenders on October 19 defeated the pontoon crossing under the Antonovsky bridge. In turn, aviation on October 21 delivered 16 strikes. The defeat was confirmed:
- 3 strongholds,
- 10 areas of concentration of weapons and military equipment,
- 3 positions of enemy anti-aircraft missile systems.
Missile and artillery units hit the enemy command post and the S-300 anti-aircraft missile system per day.
