Over the past day, the official number of victims of the war between Russia and Ukraine among children has not increased. However, this does not make it any less terrible – as a result of Russia's armed aggression, 662 children suffered.
232 children have already died because of the war
According to juvenile prosecutors, 232 of them died. Another 430 were wounded.
They note that these figures are not final, because work on establishing the number of such cases does not stop in places of active hostilities, in temporarily occupied and de-occupied territories.
Most affected children in the following regions:
- Donetsk region – 145,
- Kyiv region – 116,
- Kharkiv region – 102,
- Chernihiv region – 68,
- Kherson region – 48,
- Luhansk region – 48,
- Mykolaiv region – 45,
- Zaporozhye region – 28,
- Sumy region – 17,
- city Kyiv – 16,
- Zhytomyr region – 15.
It should be noted that 1837 educational institutions have already been damaged due to the bombing and shelling of Ukrainian settlements by the Russian invaders. 172 of them were completely destroyed.

The last cases in the war in which children and minors suffered
- On May 21, Russian invaders fired on the village of Belozerka, Kherson region. As a result, three people died. Among them: two teenagers – a guy and a girl, as well as an English teacher.
- With the gradual liberation of the Kharkiv region by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, it becomes known about the atrocities that the occupiers committed there. Among them are many sexual crimes, the victims of which are even children and infants.
- They are reported to the hotline of the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada. As a result of a direct hit on a residential building, 2 children were killed.
- On May 17, Russia launched a missile attack on Bakhmut. One of the shells hit a residential five-story building, the building collapsed. Three minors – 9, 12 and 17 years old – received injuries of varying degrees of severity. The next day, the body of a 2-year-old girl was removed from the rubble.
