The court lifted the seizure of funds used to bribe the leadership of anti-corruption agencies. We are talking about 6 million dollars (more than 170 million hryvnias at the rate of the National Bank of Ukraine), which were transferred to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
This was reported by a number of anti-corruption bodies, noting that the decision was initiated by NABU detectives and SAPO prosecutors. Recall that this is the largest bribe in the history of Ukraine.
A record in the field of bribery
In June 2020, NABU and SAP exposed three people , one of them turned out to be an official of the Main Directorate of the State Tax Service in Kyiv. Two men tried to bribe the leadership of the anti-corruption authorities – they were offered to close the criminal proceedings on the suspicion of the former official.
Then the “service” was estimated at $ 5 million. Another 1 million official of the Main Directorate of the State Tax Service “threw from above” for the assistance provided. All three people, as well as the initiator of the bribery, were held accountable. The investigation has been completed, and cases against them are being heard at WACS.

Today, the command of the Special Operations Forces reported that all funds were officially transferred to the accounts of the military units of the MTR of Ukraine. They are used on the most urgent needs of the army. The distribution, in particular, will be controlled by Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Valery Zaluzhny.
The Zlochevsky case: the main thing
- On June 12, they tried to give a bribe to the leadership of NABU and SAPO 6 million dollars in cash.
- They tried to give a bribe to close the case against the owner of the Burisma company, Nikolai Zlochevsky.
- The proxies of the ex-minister of ecology became the defendants in the case.
- June 15 the court chose preventive measures in the form of detention with the possibility of making bail.
- On July 1, the SAP declared suspicion on Zlochevsky for trying to bribe the leadership of the SAPO and NABU.
- On August 10, Zlochevsky was put on the wanted list .
