In Britain, a new package of military assistance for Ukraine was made public. In the coming weeks, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will transfer 50 thousand artillery shells and drones.

London will also transfer dozens of artillery systems to Kyiv. British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace spoke about this in an updated report to Parliament.

What weapons should the British transfer to the Armed Forces:

  • more than 20 M109 155mm self-propelled guns,
  • 36 L119 105mm gun mounts,
  • counter-battery radar systems,
  • more than 50,000 ammunition for the existing Soviet-era artillery to Ukraine.

London is also to hand over 1,600 anti-tank weapons, and drones with hundreds of ammunition are also mentioned.

The scale and range of equipment we provide demonstrates the strength of our determination. Together with our international partners, we will ensure that Ukraine has the tools to protect its country from Putin’s illegal invasion,” Ben Wallace emphasized.

About 7,000 anti-tank weapons have already been sent to Ukraine

< p>The British have already sent 6,900 anti-tank weapons to Ukraine. This is primarily about NLAW, Javelin, Brimstone. 16,000 artillery shells, six Stormer vehicles with Starstreak anti-aircraft missile launchers and hundreds of missiles were to arrive.

Brimstone naval missiles, multiple rocket launchers, 120 armored fighting vehicles and a large amount of non-lethal assistance were also transferred. That's 82,000 helmets, 8,450 body armor and more than 5,000 night vision goggles.

Pay attention! In June, Boris Johnson announced that the UK would provide another billion pounds of military support to Ukraine. The UK has also begun large-scale training of Ukrainian soldiers.
