29 Chinese Air Force aircraft entered Taiwan airspace without warning/MoNDefense

Twenty-nine aircraft of the Chinese Air Force entered Taiwan's air defense recognition zone on June 21 without warning.

Taiwan's air force also scrambled into the air.

Previous “departures”

Note that such sorties happen all the time. China considers Taiwan its own territory and regularly launches its aircraft towards the island. For example, at the end of May, 30 Chinese Air Force fighter jets entered Taiwan's airspace. To prevent the threat, Taiwanese fighters also took to the air. To monitor Chinese aircraft, the country deployed missile systems. Taiwan reported about 39 Chinese aircraft in its emergency zone on January 23.

Taiwan is confident that China's constant military activity is a way to deplete the island, forcing it to defend itself and show its strength all the time. By the way, the Ministry of Defense of the country published a photo of Chinese aircraft that crossed the space on June 21.

Will China attack Taiwan

Chinese leader Xi Jinping signed a decree indicating that Beijing may be preparing for a so-called “special operation” against Taiwan. It involves the “non-military” use of the armed forces. That is, Beijing can attack Taiwan under the guise of a “special operation” – the same scheme as in Russia.

The directive says that China intends to conduct “peaceful military operations.” It is possible that in Taiwan. The decree came into force on June 15.

  • By the way, the United States also reacted to the threat of war against Taiwan. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin noted that the situation in the region is becoming more tense due to activities from China. In particular, the minister is embarrassed by the lack of professionalism and responsibility on the part of the Chinese army.
  • Chinese Defense Minister Wei Fenghe made a sharp statement before that. He said that Beijing “will not hesitate to go to war” if Taiwan declares independence. According to him, hostilities can begin, despite the human cost.
