A terrible accident happened in the Rivne region on the evening of May 3rd. Read on for everything we know about the massive accident.
The tragedy occurred around 19:20 on the Kyiv-Chop highway near the village of Sitnoye. Almost fifty rescuers extinguished the fire

There were 35 passengers and one driver in the passenger bus. According to preliminary data, the transport ran along the route “Kharkiv – Zgorzelets”. All passengers traveled from Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Kharkiv and Khmelnitsky regions.
The youngest passenger was 17 years old, on May 12 he was supposed to celebrate his majority, but, unfortunately, he died in a car. All the rest were under the age of 69.

26 people died in an accident in the Rivne region
7 ambulances left for the scene. The victims were taken to hospitals in Dubno and Radivilov. At first, 16 victims were known.
Note that 2 people miraculously managed to escape. So, the second bus driver was supposed to get hooked in Lviv, and another passenger in Brody. Therefore, they did not find a terrible accident that happened to their bus.

In his evening address, President Volodymyr Zelensky mentioned a large-scale accident. He called it a tragedy and expressed his condolences to those who lost their loved ones in the accident.

He also instructed to provide all necessary assistance to victims of road accidents.
