Today, September 6, a meeting of the Contact Group on Ukrainian Defense Issues is being held at the Ramstein Air Base in Germany, where Volodymyr Zelensky personally arrived.

Before the start of the meeting, the US Defense Secretary announced a new military aid package for Ukraine. It will include $250 million in weapons.

“I am pleased to announce that President Biden will announce an additional $250 million security assistance package for Ukraine today. It will expand our ability to meet Ukraine's evolving needs,” Austin said.

By the way, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky said that delays in weapons deliveries in late 2023 – early 2024 led to serious setbacks on the battlefield and a drop in morale. He noted that such delays are still a real problem.
