Two-time Olympic medalist Mikhail Romanchuk withdrew from swimming qualification in the 1,500m freestyle at the 2024 Olympics due to illness.

– For the second day, Mikhail has had a high temperature and general physical weakness.

Thus, for the two-time medalist of the 2020 Olympics, the performance at the 2024 Olympic Games is prematurely ended, – the National Olympic Committee reported the unfortunate news.

The 1500m freestyle swimming qualification starts at 12:30 on August 3.
