Some IDPs in Bukovina will be able to receive 6,000 hryvnia
IDPs can receive assistance from international benefactors. The NGO HelpAge is providing financial support for 3 months in the amount of UAH 6,660, the message says.
However, the regional military administration explained that the program is designed only for displaced persons who have not previously received payments from international organizations and fall under such vulnerability criteria. In particular, an internally displaced person must meet one of the criteria:
- families with children;
- households with persons with disabilities;
- men or women raising a child on their own;
- pregnant women or women caring for small children;
- the elderly (talking about age over 60);
- families with deceased or wounded as a result of hostilities;
- persons with chronic or serious illnesses.
To receive assistance, they are advised to register with the Department of Social Protection of the Population (in Chernivtsi, it is on Glavnaya Street, 245) from 9 am to 5 pm (lunch break – from 13 to 13:30).
Moreover, people with disabilities can apply for hygiene products on an individual basis.
