Gudkov believes that Putin has lost the war/Channel 24 Collage
Back in 2014, Putin annexed Crimea and occupied part of the Lugansk and Donetsk regions. In 2022, the head of the Kremlin launched a full-scale war against Ukraine, and in doing so, he made a big mistake. Now the West is doing everything to achieve the victory of Ukraine, and Putin, obviously, has already lost the war.
Russian opposition politician Gennady Gudkov told Channel 24 about this. He says that even earlier, in 2010, he said that Russia was on the verge of repression, a sharp deterioration in the situation, and as a result, everything would end in a war.
According to him, some in Russia, even then they understood that a war would definitely be unleashed. Journalists then asked him: “What kind of war? With whom to fight? Not with Ukraine,” and they joked.
It is quite clear that a dictatorial regime always ends badly – with blood, wars, poverty. The people always take the rap for the dictator to the fullest,” the politician said.
For Gudkov, it was no surprise that Russia's war against Ukraine had now begun. He understood that Putin would not leave so easily, something would happen.
“But I did not expect such nonsense that it would be a full-scale invasion from all sides, I thought that the blow would be on South of Ukraine from the sea. But over the years, the authorities have been very stupid that they thought to seize Ukraine in three days“, the politician says.
But, in his opinion, the offensive power, the level of aggression and the madness of the Russian political leadership should not be underestimated. >
Rocket attacks and bombings continue now. But Gudkov is convinced that Putin lost the war.
And not only because Ukraine has shown courage and freedom and is ready to fight , but also because the West has cut off its retreat for the last week and a half. The West has declared a war to win, it has nowhere to retreat, the politician explained.
According to him, therefore, both the EU and the leaders of Great Britain, the United States will do everything to achieve this (Ukraine's victory) .
“And this is the main conditional collapse of Putinism. I am convinced that this is the” burning of bridges “by the West on the way of Ukraine's military victory and the de-occupation of its territory will be resolved in the coming months,” he added .
