In the waters around Serpentine Ukrainians defenders accurately destroy the equipment of the invaders. The Russians are collecting the wreckage of their ships from the bottom.
This was announced by the representative of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Oleksandr Motuzyanyk. He gave a briefing at the Media Center of Ukraine.
“Near Zmeiny, a search and rescue group consisting of five boats and a self-propelled floating crane took measures to raise the wreckage of the Russian landing boat “Serna” and a boat of the Raptor type, destroyed by Ukrainian troops,” Motuzyanyk said.
The Ministry of Defense also noted that 2 SLCM carriers (sea-based cruise missiles – channel 24) of the Caliber type are ready to use missile weapons in the Black Sea, they can fire 16 missiles at once.
What's happening on Serpentine
Russian assassins are building up their forces on Serpentine and are trying to strengthen their positions. Fyodor Venislavsky, a member of the National Security Committee, spoke about this. In particular, the infidels installed various air defense systems on the island in order to prevent attacks from the APU from the air. There are also electronic warfare systems. The Russians concentrated the surface fleet on the island so that the Ukrainian military could not achieve their goals.
Russian losses on Zmeiny
The representative of the Odesa OVA, Sergei Bratchuk, noted that the Ukrainians were successfully liquidating the Russians on the Serpentine. Almost for the first time, a terrorist country has acknowledged this.
“In Russia, when they began to bury their dead, they began to confirm the losses on Zmeiny Island. Zmeibaevka is not happy with the occupiers,” Bratchuk emphasized .
Why is Serpentine so important to the invaders
Head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov explained that Serpentine is strategically important for Russia, since it gives control of all trade routes that are located on the territory of Ukraine.
In addition, it simplifies the landing of the invaders' amphibious assault. Budanov said that this is theoretically the only area through which an airborne assault can enter the occupied Transnistria.
“Whoever controls the island can at any time block the movement of civilian ships in all directions on South of Ukraine,” Budanov said.
