Ukraine's accession to the EU/Channel 24 Collage
Ukraine has signed an application to join the European Union, already in June we can get candidate status. Next, we are waiting for probable EU membership.

What does Ukraine need to join the EU

Ukraine may receive the status of a candidate for EU membership
- President Volodymyr Zelensky signed an application for EU membership on February 28 . It was almost immediately approved by the European Parliament.
- After that, the European future of Ukraine was supported at the EU summit and called on the European Commission to prepare an opinion on the readiness of our state to obtain the status of a candidate for membership in the European Union.
- Ukraine has already handed over to the European commission, a questionnaire that is necessary to obtain the status of a candidate.
- Already in June 2022, an EU summit will be held, at which Ukraine's application for membership in the European Union will be discussed. If Ukraine receives this status, it will start the negotiation process for joining the EU.
