Turkey continues to make great efforts for the safe export of grain from Ukraine through corridors. There are already about 20 ships in the region that are ready to carry out this mission.

This was stated by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at a press conference following the results of the NATO summit in Madrid.

According to Erdogan, Turkey continues to maintain telephone diplomacy with Vladimir Putin and Zelensky.

We have a roadmap, the implementation of which has begun. We will try to launch this corridor as soon as possible. We have about 20 ships in the region that are ready to take grain out of Ukraine. We will continue to ensure the unloading and delivery of products to third countries,” Erdogan said.

Erdogan added that he intends to hold the next telephone conversations with the President of Ukraine and the President of Russia in the near future. Tentatively late this week or early next.

Pay attention!British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace stressed that what Turkey is trying to do from the UN is to discuss with the Russians the possibility of exporting grain from Ukraine. And in no way is it said to help Russia take out stolen grain from the occupied territories.

Russia steals Ukrainian grain

The Russian military occupied parts of the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, from where Ukrainian grain is illegally taken away. Russia is stealing grain, transporting it through the occupied Crimea. On June 26, First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Taras Vysotsky informed that the Russians had already stolen at least 400,000 tons of grain.

Recently, the American company Maxar showed satellite images showing Russian-flagged ships transporting stolen goods in Ukraine grain and delivered it to Syria. In early June, it was reported that in just three months, Russia sent to Syria about 100 thousand tons of wheat stolen from the territory of Ukraine and exported through the Crimea.

Russia tried to sell the Egyptian grain stolen in Ukraine, but they refused to buy the stolen . After that, the ship changed direction to Lebanon and Syria.
