EU countries are beginning to respond to Ukraine's request to stop issuing Schengen visas for Russians. At first, the likelihood of such a cardinal scenario looked low, but, as it turned out, the Russians managed to get bored with many European countries.
The list of countries ready to stop issuing tourist visas to Russians is expanding
The Danish government is ready to abolish the issuance of Schengen visas for citizens of the occupying country. This was stated by Danish Immigration Minister Kaare Dibwad.
He also said that the whole EU should take such a step, because allowing the issuance of visas to Russians by at least one country will open the doors for them to all EU countries.
< p class="bloquote cke-markup">What Estonia has proposed is reasonable. Come up with a pan-European response. But it is clear that if there is only one country in Europe where Russians can enter, then in principle it is possible to enter the entire Schengen zone. That is why the EU is the framework within which this should be done,” Dibvada said.
Lithuania also spoke out for the implementation of the proposal to close the EU borders to Russians.
Recall that Estonia announced that it would restrict entry for Russians from August 18, and the Czech Republic calls on the European Union to consider a ban on issuing Schengen visas to Russians as early as August.
