According to Italian media, an 18-year-old Ukrainian student was found hanged on a bed sheet approximately 1 km from the tourist village where she worked.
The girl's body was found in a wooded area, not far from the old campsite in Torre Guaceto, thanks to the canine units.
Before disappearing, the Ukrainian woman made a bank transfer to her brother. And in the room, she left her phone, passport and a sheet of paper with several mobile numbers.
The publications note that the first version was that Maria herself decided to escape. Shortly before her disappearance, the Ukrainian learned that her internship in Italy would end without the possibility of continuation on Sunday, July 6. At the same time, many other students stayed until September.
Some witnesses even claimed that the girl told clients that she did not want to return to Slovenia, where she lived with her family.
The Ukrainian woman was captured on CCTV cameras near the place where she was doing her internship. The footage showed her heading towards the beach, and then her tracks disappeared.
