On October 10, Russian invaders launched a massive missile attack on Ukraine. In particular, the enemy fired 15 missiles at the Lviv region.
This Channel 24 was reported by Andriy Moskalenko, First Deputy Mayor of Lvov. According to him, part of the enemy missiles were shot down by the air defense forces.
Despite this, unfortunately, part of the missiles hit critical infrastructure in Lviv.
“About 90% of Lviv was left without electricity”
According to Moskalenko, on behalf of the mayor Andriy Sadovy, a headquarters for emergency response is working in Lviv.
About 90% of the city was left without power supply. All services are working to restore electricity,” Moskalenko said.
The situation with transport in the city
According to him, due to the lack of electricity, trams and trolleybuses do not run in the city.
“We have increased the number of buses on the routes. About 80% of traffic lights do not work due to problems with power supply. At large intersections regulators are working now,” said the first deputy mayor of Lviv.
There are problems with hot water and mobile communications in Lviv
Also due to problems with electricity supply in the city there is no hot water supply.
Thanks to the backup power supply, we provide cold water supply to the houses,” Moskalenko noted.
There are also problems with mobile communications in Lviv. According to the Deputy Mayor of Lviv, the city authorities maintain contact with mobile operators and promptly resolve these issues.
When can power supply be resumed in Lviv
As Moskalenko noted, it is not yet possible to say when power supply will be restored in the city.
At this moment, I cannot say how long it will take to eliminate the consequences of rocket attacks. Now specialists of different services are working on this. By 5 p.m. we will try to provide more detailed information, – said the first deputy mayor of Lviv.
