Turkey continues to eliminate the consequences of the powerful earthquakes that occurred on February 6. Twelve of our citizens have already been taken out of the disaster zone.
However, another 5 Ukrainians may still be under the rubble. This was announced by the Ambassador of Ukraine to Turkey Vasily Bodnar.
Bodnar said that now there is a request for evacuation and assistance to about 62 Ukrainians. Already managed to take out 12 people. Communication with 96 citizens has also been established. The embassy is waiting for information about another 22.
The diplomat also noted that the Ukrainian consuls left for the province of Hatay on December 9. They are carrying humanitarian aid and will be ready to evacuate Ukrainians to safer provinces.
There is information that up to five citizens of Ukraine may be under the rubble. But I think this is very preliminary information. And we will know this later, when they check the places of residence of Ukrainians, Bodnar emphasized.
