Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine Maryna Lazebna As of April 19, more than 1.4 million people have registered as displaced persons. The state provides them with financial assistance.

Lazebna stressed that IDPs are people who find themselves in another city, often without the necessary things, with children and elderly relatives.

According to her, they need housing, food, medicine and funds hygiene for the first time, and in the future – work.

Therefore, the state during martial law, even in conditions of extremely limited resources, introduced a system of interconnected programs, that help people solve these problems. the minister said.

She added that in the coming days, migrants will be able to register and apply for residence it will be possible through Action without leaving home, without queues and extra papers.

Assistance to displaced persons

The state provides assistance for the residence of displaced persons from areas of active hostilities. Assistance is provided in the amount of 3000 hryvnia per month for children and people with disabilities, 2000 hryvnia for other persons.

“To everyone who is eligible for this assistance and who applies for it by the end of April, the state will transfer benefits for two months – March and April,” Lazebna said.

In addition, in almost every host community there are headquarters that provide humanitarian assistance to the displaced people – these are the products, hygiene products, clothes that are necessary for the first time.

Other programs to help the displaced people

  • The Cabinet of Ministers has launched a program to support employers who employ IDPs. The state co-finances employers' labor costs of hired displaced persons in the amount of UAH 6,500.
  • As part of assistance to displaced persons with housing, the government compensates utility costs to communities and people who host displaced persons free of charge.
  • Together with three UN agencies, the Cabinet of Ministers is launching additional programs to support the most vulnerable categories. People will receive assistance for a period of three months and in the amount of 2220 hryvnia per month additionally.
  • Such a program has already been launched with UNICEF, you can apply online. It is provided to families with three or more children, if one child is under the age of two.

By the way, Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukrainians will be able to get housing from the state. First of all, this concerns the migrants, whose houses were destroyed by infidels. The military and doctors will also receive housing.
