The leader of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Gennady Zyuganov told RIA Novosti that he feels well, is holding on, and his condition is working.
When asked how long the politician would stay in the hospital, he replied that doctors were still monitoring his health. “I’ll be late because of the situation, they’re checking my health now,” the leader of the Communist Party added.
Zyuganov is in the Moscow Central Clinical Hospital (TsKB) with signs of an acute respiratory viral infection. According to State Duma deputy, secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Sergei Obukhov, Zyuganov underwent a computed tomography scan, which did not reveal lung damage. The hospitalization of the leader of the Communist Party became known on February 11.
Earlier, LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky was admitted to the Central Clinical Hospital with an omicron strain of coronavirus. According to Kommersant, he hid for two weeks that he had contracted COVID-19 due to fears that information about this would introduce unnecessary doubts among the ranks of vaccination supporters.
