In the American city of Santa Rosa, dozens of poisonous rattlesnakes belonging to the species Crotalus oreganus were found under a residential building. Writes about this SFGate.
The reptiles were caught by snake-catchers Al Wolfe, who heads the non-profit organization Sonoma County Reptile Rescue, which traps snakes. According to him, the owner of the house called him, claiming that she had noticed a snake's nest. He arrived, climbed under the building and, having assessed the situation, decided to return for special gloves. He has never seen such a number of snakes in one place in his entire 32-year career.
Three hours and 40 minutes later, Wolfe removed from under the house 22 adult snakes, 59 baby snakes, as well as the remains of two dead animals: a cat and a possum. It took two additional visits to complete the work, during which he caught 11 more adult snakes. Most of all Zmelelov was impressed by the calmness of the customer. “She told me,“ So that's why we haven't had rodents all these years, ”he says. “This woman was not afraid of the snake.”
Earlier it was reported that in the American city of Phoenix, Arizona, a woman killed and ate a rattlesnake, which crawled into her yard. She kept her skin as a souvenir.
