LDPR leader Zhirinovsky: those who did not serve in the army may be banned from running for president

The Russian government is considering a bill according to which a person who has not served in the army cannot become president. The leader of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia Vladimir Zhirinovsky announced the new ban for candidates on the air of the Komsomolskaya Pravda radio station, reports URA.RU.
Thus, the politician commented on the statement of rapper Morgenstern about plans to run for president of Russia. “You can dream, but no one will register it. The amendments to the law say that there can be no presidential candidate without military service, ”Zhirinovsky said.
Morgenstern announced his intention to become President of Russia in August 2021. He admitted that he is madly in love with his native country and wants to lead it in 10-15 years. He noted that he had been to many other states, and his mother lives in Europe, but he himself would not have been able to move anywhere.
