The Zenit fan association Landskrona has issued a statement regarding the introduction of Fan ID. The text is available on Instagram.

Landskrona opposed registration of Fan ID on behalf of Zenit fans. In the statement of the movement, the innovation is assessed as repressive and redundant. “These rules of the game run counter to the interests of the fans and football in general,” the authors of the book are convinced.

On December 17, the State Duma in the third reading adopted a bill on the introduction of a fan passport for access to the competition. The law will come into force on June 1, 2022. However, Olympic champion and State Duma deputy Svetlana Zhurova admitted that Fan ID would not be used in RPL matches.

Fan ID was tested at the 2018 World Cup in Russia. To enter the stands and fan zones, each fan was required to have a personalized spectator card. Its owners were provided with benefits, including free travel on public transport. Foreigners who issued a Fan ID were allowed to enter Russia without a visa.
