President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky urged the country's residents to rest in Turkey instead of Russians, reports Strana.ua.

“You have heard that Russia will restrict tourism to Turkey. This is their business, but I think, on the contrary, we need to increase and support tourism with Turkey, ”Zelensky said.

He called his recent visit to Turkey wonderful and thanked the head of state Recep Tayyip Erdogan for supporting Ukraine and not recognizing the “annexation” of Crimea.

According to Zelensky, Ukraine and Turkey should support each other, including in the field of tourism.

Previously, Rambler wrote that Russia is suspending flights with Turkey from April 15 to June 1. All charter flights will be canceled, only regular flights will remain – twice a week. A similar ban was imposed on flights to Tanzania, also until June 1. Rospotrebnadzor said that of the 30 countries with which Russia has open air traffic, Turkey now has the highest increase in the incidence of coronavirus.
