The President of Ukraine noted that Ukraine's accession to NATO is a mutually beneficial step. Ukrainians have experience in modern warfare, use NATO weapons, implement the latest technologies and are already effectively operating in a mutual security format. He emphasized that this is a definite strengthening for NATO.
Zelensky recalled that Ukraine has a unique experience of a full-scale war against Russia, which covers not only military operations, but also cybersecurity, energy, the banking system and the economy. At the same time, the president said that the realities of security and politics do not allow talking about joining NATO right now. He said that this is not possible today. Despite this, the head of state is convinced that Ukraine's future in the Alliance is inevitable.
Zelenskyy also drew attention to the slow build-up of NATO countries' defense potential. According to him, this could give Russia time to restore its offensive capabilities. In return, Ukraine has already proven its resilience and combat effectiveness.
