The President noted that such an initiative could be a serious component of future security guarantees.

The UK positively perceives the initiative launched by France to send an international contingent to Ukraine as part of security guarantees.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said this in a comment journalists following the meetings in Germany and Italy.

“This initiative could become part of security guarantees for Ukraine. Of course, one contingent of some countries will not be enough – I believe this is not enough. But the fact that this could be a serious component of future security guarantees – yes,” said the head of the Ukrainian state.

He recalled that this initiative was launched by French President Emmanuel Macron.

“The British are positive. But I will talk about this in detail with the Prime Minister at our meeting. It will take place – he will visit Ukraine,” Zelensky noted.

The President added that there are already serious decisions between Ukraine and Great Britain, which will become known later.

Recall that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also announced the next meeting of the Contact Group on the Defense of Ukraine in the Rammstein format. The event is expected in February.
