This opinion was expressed by Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Mikhail Podolyak in an interview with UNIAN.
“Russia will gather under its auspices the maximum number of frostbitten countries and regimes, terrorist organizations. They will almost constantly initiate certain conflicts, which will one day merge into a large-scale war, the so-called Third World War,” – he predicted.
In the event of Russia’s defeat, according to Podolyak, the vertical management and political elites will be updated on the territory of the Russian Federation, and during this time it will be possible to reconsider the principles of relations between Europe and Russia.
“Europe will have a window of opportunity to clearly fix its borders, reformat its own military production, taking into account the experience of this war, reformat its armies, making the Ukrainian army, which went through the war, central. Then we will have a completely different frame,” Podolyak noted.
The option of turning Ukraine into a “buffer zone” between Russia and Western countries,” which was recently proposed by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, was called unrealistic by the adviser to the head of the OP.
“Today it is obvious that no buffer zone is possible. If Russia does not lose, then Russia will attack different countries in Europe in one way or another. This is the undoubted future,” Podolyak emphasized.
Recall that Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban believes that Ukraine can survive as a state only if it becomes a “buffer zone” between Russia and the West, refusing integration into the EU and NATO.
