President Vladimir Zelensky fired the head of the Brovary district state administration Vladimir Maybozhenko, who the day before caused an accident in the Kiev region.
The corresponding presidential order was published on the website of the head of state on April 27.
Dismissal of Maibozhenko
— To dismiss Vladimir Vladimirovich Maibozhenko from the post of chairman of the Brovary district state administration of the Kyiv region in accordance with paragraph 1 of part one of article 9 of the Law of Ukraine On Local State Administrations, — states Presidential Executive Order No. 46-2024.
In turn, the head of the Kyiv OVA Ruslan Kravchenko commented on the dismissal.

— This is just the first step. Criminal proceedings against him (Maibozhenko, — Ed.) open, suspicion reported, preventive measure taken, — he said.
Kravchenko noted that the investigation against the former head of the Brovary Regional State Administration must be impartial, and the punishment against the person for whom four people suffered must be fair and in accordance with the consequences.
— It will not be possible to avoid responsibility, — added the head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration.
Accident in Brovary
We recall that on the evening of April 26 in Brovary, the head of the Regional State Administration Vladimir Maybozhenko, while driving a car, drove through an intersection at a prohibitory traffic light, drove onto the side of the road and hit four pedestrians, including a two-year-old child.
According to the readings of the Drager device, which determines the degree of alcohol intoxication of a person, Maibozhenko had 2.31 ppm of alcohol. The acceptable norm in Ukraine is 0.2 ppm.
All those injured in the traffic accident are now in the hospital. Two of them — in intensive care, two more — moderate bodily injury.
Already on the afternoon of April 27, Maibozhenko was announced as a suspect, and the court chose a preventive measure in the form of arrest.
