The President of Ukraine discussed with the President of the European Council Charles Michel the development of events on the border of Ukraine with Russia, where the Russian Federation has pulled its troops.
– This morning I contacted President Vladimir Zelensky again to review the latest changes in the regional situation… I reaffirmed my strong solidarity with Ukraine,” Michel wrote on his Twitter page.
President Zelensky, in turn, noted that the parties discussed de-escalation options within all formats that exist.
– We are making diplomatic efforts to restore peace. We continue to interact practically in all directions. I am grateful to the European Union for the continued support of Ukraine,” reads the statement published by Zelensky.
According to Defense Minister Alexei Reznikov, Russia has pulled a total of about 130,000 military personnel to the Ukrainian borders, taking into account the naval and aviation potential.
